Busy bee...

Along with not feeling very well, I've managed to squeeze in a lot of productive things since the last post.

The past few days have seen more work with the Scottish Agricultural college with a trip to Ayr to photograph their labs and campus there as well as a trip to an operating dairy farm. I had expected to run into a lot of problems when shooting on the farm but Robin, the farmer, was fantastically accommodating and helpful. He offered suggestions for shots and let me get right up close to the action. He, Joe from the SAC and Lindsay from the Vet department of the college meant that I was able to get some fantastic shots from the day. This was the last job that I was booked in for at the College, it's been great working with everyone there, especially the manager of the communications dept, Andrew Tibbs, who has been fantastic throughout every commision i've had with them.

I've also been working more in the studio recently, what with the new backdrop. I shot Prof. Bill McKelvey in a studio environment and he was a fantastic sitter. Despite being pushed for time he was very accomodating and patient with what we were needing from the shoot. This enabled me to get some great results.

I also shot a friend of mine (pictured above) for her to use on her writing website. It was supposed to have a hint of film noir about it. I think i succeeded fairly well with the shoot - more images will be up when i can find some of that elusive "time" to develop them.
